What volunteer opportunities are available?
Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks. Anyone wishing to help with serving or preparing food needs to have a Food Service Card issued by the Raleigh County Health Department. Other volunteers are needed to clean-up the facility, dishwashing or just visiting with our clients. 

Does The Carpenter's Corner receive government assistance?
The Carpenter's Corner does receive food monthly from the USDA, but does not receive any monetary assistance from any government agency.

Why is The Carpenter's Corner only open three days per week?
Our goal is to be able to serve meals more often, however, in order to do so we would need a large number of additional volunteers to staff the extra days.

Do you have to be a member of one of the participating churches in order to volunteer?
No. many of our volunteers are community minded individuals who just want to help make a difference.
